Masala! Mehndi! Masti! 2008: My Blog of Attending Few Events

The largest South Asian Arts festival in North America, held on July 25-27, 2008 at CNE grounds, has been running for 7 years (I have attended most of them). MMM been presenting South Asian culture and South Asian inspired culture in a professional, fun and mainstream environment.

There were over 80 events/performancess, film theatre, art gallery, 12 food stalls, Meena Bazar, & seminars Artists from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, UK, Trinidad, Pakistan, India, US Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and across Canada. Below is my blog for three of these highlights.

Indian Arts & Traditionds from Royal Ontario Museum did a dispaly of some Indian art affects depicting 5000 years of civilization and its ancient traditions.

Canadian Pre Theatrical Release of Amal directed by Richie Mehta, starring Naseerudin Shah, Seema Biswas and Rupinder Nagra, Roshan Seth, Koel Purie. I even managed to get Rupinder Nagra picture with me and Chai.
